Chairman: - Our esteemed chairman Shri Pritipal Belchandan is born in the family of farmers who were also freedom fighters from the Durg district, Chhattisgarh – formerly in the state of Madhya Pradesh is the major driving force behind the formation of Shri Balram Agro Co-operative Society (SBACO). Always a visionary, who feels the pain of the farmers himself and thinking for the benefit of the farmers has come up with this novel idea of making the farmers involved in all the allied activities of their produce and thus laid the foundation for Shri Balram Agro Co-operative Society (SBACO).


He is one of those few people in India who is a strong believer about the economic growth of the country being largely depended on the growth of agricultural sector. Always fighting for the welfare of the farmer community has succeeded in facilitating a lot of support activities for the farmers via government means (technological support, better procurement price etc...). This nature of his has enlightened his position in the district and is now very well sought out name amongst the farmer fraternity. For which he has been unanimously elected as the Chairman of the District Central Co-operative Bank, Durg which has celebrated its centenary year in 2011.


After him becoming the chairman, the DCC bank has risen from a position of making losses to generating profit along with giving a dividend of about 2cr consecutively for the last three years to all its share holders. The bank is currently awarded the best run DCC bank in Central India. The performance of all the 182 PACS which fall under the per view of the Durg DCCB has drastically improved to an extent that they now procure about 10lakh MT of Paddy every year along with soyabean and other agricultural produce. He has won several awards for his commitment and conviction towards the Co-operative sector and farmers. A few of them along with the positions he has held till date are below:-


  Won the prestigious Thakur Pyarelal state award which is the highest award in the field of Cooperative twice in the year 2008-09       and 2009-10.
  Won a National award on 20May, 2011 from the Indian International Friendship society, Newdelhi.
  During the period of 1997-2003 has been the member of the board of directors DCCB, Durg.
  From 1998-2001, Member of IFFCO, representing the Durg dist.
  Has been the gram Sarpanch – 1984-2000.
  Has been the member of the PACS for DCCB, Durg 1990-97.
